Grants: Funding
Efforts to Deliver Quality Nutrition Services
The WIC Branch is pleased
to support local Women, Infants, and Children
(WIC) agencies that are focusing on the development
of top quality WIC nutrition services funded through
Best Practices Grants. Best Practices Grants provide
additional WIC funds to local WIC agencies to
conduct activities or projects that improve the
delivery of core WIC nutrition services to the
"best practices" or exemplary level
- exceeding the minimum or routine performance
level. In federal fiscal year (FFY) 2003, California
WIC awarded almost $2 million for 32 Best Practices
projects throughout the state.
