How to apply

The process to apply for a Registered Dietitian position is as follows:

2. Complete the "self assessment" which includes an exam application that will place you on the eligibility list for a job with the State of California. The self assessment may be obtained by contacting Leslie Kaye at the number above.  It will be mailed to you immediately and you can return it in the envelope provided.

3. Complete the "state employment application" for the position for which you are applying. Click here for the state application. The application may be completed on-line (click here).  You will need to open a free personal account following the process outlined.

4. Once you are offered a position, you must have a medical provider complete a physical exam using the form provided by your hiring supervisor.
